restaurants and pubs, and a host of other non-ski activities. Before climbing aboard with Eagle Pass, you can hit the groomers with the family, work up those ski legs in the steeps of Putnam Creek, and join in a day of ‘Powder Prep’ lessons from one of Canada’s finest Ski Schools.

Poplar Grove Winery

POPLAR GROVE WINERY

Poplar Grove Winery recently opened a 9,500-sq-ft state-of-the-art winery on top of Munson Mountain at the gateway to the Naramata Bench. The new winery space is home to a working winery, showcase barrel hall and an expansive tasting room. Visitors can tour the barrel hall, sample Poplar Grove’s award-winning wines and enjoy a picnic on the viewing deck overlooking Penticton’s scenic waterfront.

Artisanal cheeses, meats and breads are available. Within the new estate vineyards, Poplar Grove planted foundation plants to harmonize with biodynamic principals – including hard fescue, red clover and bluegrass. The vineyard edges are lined with crested wheatgrass, wild mustard and annual rye.

Terrafina At Hester Creek

TERRAFINA RESTAURANT AT HESTER CREEK WINERY

Terrafina, Italian for “from the earth”, is inspired by Hester Creek Estate Winery having some of the oldest producing vines in the Okanagan, as well as by the abundance of locally grown ingredients which have made the region a culinary destination. Located in the former winery tasting room, Terrafina’s 45 seat restaurant provides an intimate setting with old brick, wooden pillars and iron chandeliers.

2011 Fall Cooking Classes Dinner Schedule:

Cooking Classes at Hester Creek Estate Winery offer you the rare experience of interacting with an acclaimed

B.C. chef in an intimate setting. You are one of only 14 guests seated at a granite island in a state-of-the-art kitchen. The multi-course menu skillfully pairs delicate and intricate flavours with their award-winning wines. An evening is complete by staying at one of the Winery “Villas” at Hester Creek.

Miradoro

MIRADORO RESTAURANT AT TINHORN CREEK WINERY

After several years of planning, some delays, and a year of construction Tinhorn Creek has finally opened up their new restaurant at the winery. Aptly named Miradoro, roughly translates to "Golden View" in Portuguese. This originates from Miradoro restaurant partner Manuel Ferreira's (of famed Vancouver's Le Gavroche) Portuguese background. Miradoro will serve market cuisine in a relaxed fine dining

atmosphere. It seats 65 people inside with a 65-seat outdoor patio offering superb views of the scenic South OkanaganValley. Ferreira has secured an exceptional individual to run the restaurant behind the menu – Executive Chef Jeff Van Geest. His background includes some of Vancouver’s finest restaurants (Bishops, Diva at the Met, Chef Bernard’s Cafe), and his own Aurora Bistro.
