Thompson Okanagan Tourism and Black Press invite you to submit your family vacation photos for a chance to win a one week vacation in our region.

Take advantage of this unique opportunity to showcase your photographic talents and for a chance to WIN...a grand prize of a one week vacation for two in the Thompson Okanagan. There will also be four additional prizes of one night accommodation, two for Thompson area images and two for Okanagan area images that are selected.

The Thompson Okanagan Tourism Association is accepting digital photo submissions of the Thompson Okanagan area for the 2013 Travel Experiences Guide. Samples of images used in last year's guide are displayed on this page and each image is selected for its ability to attract different Traveller Types.

Submitted photos become the sole property of Thompson Okanagan Tourism Association and for all intent and purpose may be published in multiple formats and media.  Submitted photos will receive a photo credit, no cash award will be offered.

How are images selected? One of the criteria is their ability to inspire travellers to learn more about the Thompson Okanagan Experiences and motivate them to plan a vacation here. Traveller Types are profiled as part of the Canadian Tourism Commission's Explorer Quotient (tm) EQ platform of market segmentation. By having a comprehensive knowledge of markets, TOTA will target them with specific images, video and editorial with experiences that are known to be of high appeal to each Traveller Type.

Photos must be submitted by 5 pm on Friday, September 14, 2012 to garner consideration.

For specific digital file requirements and to submit your photos, please email kirk@pentictonwesternnews.com

If you would like to know which type of traveller you are, just click the link below and take the short quiz. Upon completition, you will be provided with a brief profile of your traveller type.
