TOTA has added a new page on its website which showcases Tourism BC's programs and services, provides links to the provincial agency's online resources, and displays news stories about the latest Tourism BC resources for the Thompson Okanagan's tourism industry.
TOTA Community Development Specialist Simone Carlysle-Smith says the new page is part of the development of TOTA's website as a 'one-stop shop' for everyone in the region's tourism industry.
"Our website is growing rapidly and our goal is to have it provide all the online materials and links that stakeholders, communities and others need to stay informed about best practices, destination development, marketing, research, and other issues – as well as the provincial programs and services available to them," Carlysle-Smith says.
The new 'Tourism BC Resources' page on TOTA's website offers information about how stakeholders can work with TOTA and Tourism BC to develop their products and marketing. It also provides direct links to the following four key sections of Tourism BC's website: Tourism Strategy & Policy; Tourism Industry Programs; Tourism Industry Resources; and, Tourism Research. Those main sections provide links to a large number of online Tourism BC resources.
The sidebar on the new TOTA website page offers an archived list of news stories about the latest developments in various Tourism BC programs and services of interest to stakeholder businesses, communities and organizations in the Thompson Okanagan.
