On behalf of TOTA, I am delighted to invite you to the 4th Annual Thompson Okanagan Tourism Summit at the beautiful Quaaout Lodge & Spa.

These Summits have become a valued time during the year when we get together, share our successes and learn from our challenges, hear from top experts in tourism planning and marketing, and rejuvenate our passion for our industry.

From our experience at previous Summits, I know that we'll be inspired to return to our businesses and our communities, and ready to do an even better job of developing our properties, creating winning sales packages, designing compelling marketing campaigns, and all the things that go into operating a successful tourism business.

The products throughout the Thompson Okanagan are already fantastic, with many world-class operations. But we know that in this globally competitive market the industry must strive to do even better.

That is why TOTA has launched with strong industry support a Regional Tourism Strategy for the next 10 years.

And that is also why we bring in first-class authorities to speak to the five core themes that are at the heart of this Regional Strategy:

Our program at this year's Summit is entitled – Embracing Our Potential. It speaks to the need we each have to use the best of our talents, our energies, and our personal values, as we work to create success in our businesses. It is reflected in TOTA's presentation of the Tourism Excellence Awards during our Gala Banquet.   These awards acknowledge our colleagues who have really gone above and beyond to deliver exceptional visitor experiences or marketing campaigns.
