Stunning scenery, friendly people and endless opportunities for outdoor adventure are the trademarks of the communities that comprise the North Thompson Valley. The supernatural wonders of the area will entice tour groups to enjoy the outdoors, in any season.

The North Thompson River was once the busy highway of the First Nations people and later, fur traders, gold prospectors, ranchers and settlers. Today, the Valley still beckons people from around the world to soak in the natural beauty of the area, capturing photos and memories to last a lifetime. The Valley is easy to explore on its well maintained highways for ground travel, with air and train travel options close at hand. Golf is plentiful with three premier 18 hole golf courses, lakes provide many opportunities for boating, and the trail system throughout the entire valley is remarkable for hiking, biking, Nordic skiing and horseback riding. Located in the heart of the North Thompson Valley is Sun Peaks Resort, the 3rd largest ski area in Canada, offering incredible four season activities from Nordic and downhill skiing, to breathtaking alpine meadow hikes and golf. Unique experiences include visiting a fish hatchery, taking in a rodeo, the North Thompson Fall Fair & Rodeo, or the annual First Nations’ Pow Wow.

Do something different. Do something out of the ordinary. Stay and play in the North Thompson Valley - the perfect place to get back to nature and unwind.
