The Canadian Tour’s Western Championship golf event is coming to Kamloops and Rivershore Golf Links!

The local organizing committee for the Canadian Tour’s Western Championship golf event is excited about hosting the first ever Canadian Tour golf event in Kamloops from June 6 – 12, 2011 at Rivershore Golf Links.

“It is indeed an exciting time for Kamloops and the golf enthusiasts in the region!” stated Lee Morris, chair of the Media and Communications Committee for the event. “Kamloops and Rivershore Golf Links will be hosting professional golfers from throughout North and South America.”

Tournament Director, Terry Grimm, expects a full slate of players competing for the first Canadian Tours’ Western Championship golf event and is excited to showcase Rivershore Golf Links. This will be a great event for the Kamloops area and the golf community in the region.

The tournament is in need of volunteers in a wide variety of areas:

• Admissions Gate
• Administration
• Caddies
• Hospitality Tent
• Marshals
• Spotters
• Starters
• Walking Scorers
• Hole Reporters
• Standard Carriers
• Runners
• Shuttle Drivers for Parking
• Billeting
• Volunteers to greet/provide directions
