Culinary & Agritourism READI™ Training Program
The Thompson Okanagan Tourism Association (TOTA) is supporting the Culinary & Agritourism READI training program that is being presented by Destination BC in partnership with The Culinary Tourism Alliance. This program was developed by the Culinary Tourism Alliance in partnership with the Tourism Industry Association of Canada. The program teaches businesses about the best practices for developing, pricing and marketing experiences, and will touch on the integration of the newly launched Destination BC Iconics Branding and opportunities to continue to prioritize sustainability in business practice.
The program will run from April 13 - June 12, 2026 beginning with an in-person workshop and on-site business assessments. Over the course of two months, businesses will learn about culinary and agritourism best practices and national standards through 5 online learning modules. They will also work to refine their culinary and agritourism experience through workbook activities and two coaching sessions with a Culinary Tourism Alliance team member.
At the end of the program, participants will have a strong framework for a culinary or agritourism experience. In addition, this training program helps businesses prepare to meet the Tourism Industry Association of Canada’s Culinary and Agritourism READI™ Stamp criteria.
