Voting Stakeholders
Membership Classes
Since 2009, the Thompson Okanagan Tourism Association (TOTA) has operated under a “Stakeholder” model, in order for TOTA to embrace all tourism industry participants in the region by considering them as stakeholders, without a requirement to pay membership fees.
There are two classes of members of the Society (see Constitution & Bylaws, section 2.2):
Voting Members - entitled to attend, speak, and vote at any meeting of the members and be elected as a board director;
Non-Voting Members - entitled to notice of and attend and speak at all meetings for members. Not entitled to vote or be elected as a board director.
