An Introduction and Future of Renewable Natural Gas (RNG) Webinar

Host: TOTA Energy Analyst

TOTA's Energy Analyst is hosting a free introductory webinar on Renewable Natural Gas (RNG) to help participants understand how RNG is an adaptable option to lower carbon footprints in businesses, transportation, and residential sectors.

Participants will benefit from this webinar by learning about the environmental benefits of switching part or all of their energy portfolio to FortisBC’s RNG option, without the need for ANY new equipment, upgrades, or installations. This simple, yet powerful, initiative invites all tourism and hospitality businesses to join forces to reduce the region’s carbon footprint.

RNG assists in reducing greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions that would be released when using conventional natural gas and does not add to the natural carbon cycle. RNG is purified biogas, made from decomposing organic waste and differs from conventional natural gas, which is a fossil fuel derived from the earth crust, which adds greenhouse gas emissions to the atmosphere through extraction and use. Conventional natural gas is responsible for the warming of the planet and related negative climate changes.
