Culinary & Agritourism READI™ Training Program

The Thompson Okanagan Tourism Association (TOTA) and Destination BC (DBC), in partnership with the Culinary Tourism Alliance (CTA) is please to present the Culinary & Agritourism READI training program. This program was developed by the Culinary Tourism Alliance in partnership with the Tourism Industry Association of Canada.

The program is an 18 hour commitment over two months, April-June beginning with an in-person workshop and on-site business assessments. Over the course of two months, businesses will learn about culinary and agritourism best practices and national standards, the integration of the newly launched Destination BC Iconics Branding into a business, and opportunities to continue to prioritize sustainability in business practice, through 5 online learning modules. They will also work to refine their culinary and agritourism experience through workbook activities and two coaching sessions with a Culinary Tourism Alliance team member.

At the end of the program, participants will have a strong framework for a culinary or agritourism experience. In addition, this training program helps businesses prepare to meet the Tourism Industry Association of Canada’s Culinary and Agritourism READI™ Stamp criteria.
