TOTA Board Director Election 2023


 

On behalf of TOTA Vice-Chair and Governance Committee Chair, Sandra Oldfield, we invite Thompson Okanagan Tourism Association voting stakeholders to put their name forward or to nominate a qualified candidate (see Eligibility Requirements below) to serve as a member of the TOTA Board of Directors for a two-year term, effective October 24, 2023.

The current TOTA Board of Directors are committed to guiding TOTA to support regional tourism stakeholders and communities. Going forward, there is much work to be done as we work towards a resilient, sustainable tourism industry in the Thompson Okanagan region of British Columbia.

For 2023, TOTA has 4 open board positions with 2 year terms. The board is seeking enthusiastic and energetic tourism professionals representing a wide range of the Thompson Okanagan’s tourism sectors, communities, and perspectives. The current board directors are eager to explore new ideas and learn from people with diverse backgrounds and experiences.

Schedule

The Thompson Okanagan Tourism Association (TOTA) will hold the 2023 Annual General Meeting (AGM) on October 23, 2023.

Leading up to the AGM, the Board Election will take place as follows:

  • Deadline to Become a Voting Stakeholder: August 23

  • Call for Nominations: August 24 - September 13 (3 weeks)

  • Electronic Voting: September 25 - October 10 (2 weeks)

  • Election Results Announced at AGM and first board meeting: October 23
