Rob Baxter
Co-Founder of Vancouver Renewable Energy Cooperative (VREC)

Rob has been in the solar energy industry since 2004, and helped initiate and complete the first grid-tie photovoltaic installation in the city of Vancouver. As co-founder of VREC he provides consulting and project management services for renewable energy systems. Rob has an MBA from the University of Western Ontario, photovoltaic training through BCIT and has appeared on CityTV, Global TV, CTV and CBC, discussing sustainability and energy issues.

Thivya Viswanathan
Energy Analyst

Thivya holds a master’s degree in Clean Energy Engineering from UBC and is passionate about energy efficiency & renewable energy solutions. She works with the tourism businesses in the Thompson Okanagan to help them understand their energy consumption and identify cost-cutting opportunities to reduce utility bills. She manages TOTA’s complimentary energy assessments for tourism businesses and conducts energy and water usage analysis for businesses participating in the Eco Efficiency Program.
